Description: This database of about 2800 sites represents “pits, ponds and lagoons” where various types of sludge were dumped over many years. The object of this data collection was to determine if harm was done to drinking water supplies below each dump site. The data were collected during the 1970s and published by U.S. EPA in 1980.Please keep in mind that the database is no longer maintained and may contain inaccurate or outdated information. Therefore, Ohio EPA disclaims any responsibility for wrong or misleading entries.
